"The Right To Live ”

The presentation of Garegin Gevorgyan’s book "Aprelu Iravunq /The Right To Live ” was held in Armenian State Pedagogical University’s scientific library’s reading-room .

The library’s director Tigran Petrsosyants presented series of poems and said.

"The author chose each and every line in his works with precision and great accuracy. the three sections represent one very interesting collectivity. Here is represented the memories of sasuntsis’s hometown and childhood , and memories of those days help to feel and better understand the depth of the emotions the book represent with the help of the author’s skillfull hands .

The head of the Writers’ Union of Armenia Levon Avanyan said.

"Armenian modern literature is full with works containing no meaning. These days the book "Aprelu Iravunq” should be considered as one of a kind. The book is full of unique works of art . It is necessary to encourage these kind of authors ,who don’t want Armenians to feel like immigrants while living in their own hometown . This book, which is a result of hard work, must be rewarded and inspire other writers to continue publishing This book proves the right of the books to "live” ”.

The editor of the book Tadevos Tonoyan mentioned that when editing the book it is important to take into consideration the thoughts and emotions of the writer and added good-naturedly , with a slight undertone of complain , that Garegin had fought for each word and sentence with "tooth and nail”.

A doctor of the faculty of art knowledge , a laureate of national prize of the Republic of Armenia Hravard Hakobyan congratulated her co-worker and said.

"Readers like reading poesie when they can understand them . Speech should be composed in easy but picturesque manner and Garegin’s works can be represented as  a wonderful example.”

Children literature author Suren Muradyan also mentioned about the importance of such a book . "This book is like a pearl in an ocean full of poesie , a wonderful picture of village life and childhood.”

Garegin Gevorgyan thanked the people present saying.

"If we are granted the right to be born from above ,then the right to live we earn with time. I love my country more than other county’s sparkling stones. I’m the son of my nation and live and work in this country . ”

In the commemorated event were present doctor-professor and rector of the Pedagogical University Ruben Mirzakhanyan, lecturers and Garegin Gevorgyan’s friends .

Reciters, Sargush Babayan, Samvel Miqaelyan , Zhaasmen Gevorgyan, read a few poesies from the book "Aprelu Iravunq.”

After the presentation Garegin Gevorgyan handed his books with authographs to the people present.

Garegin Gevorgyan is the head secretary of the Armenian Tekeyan Cultural Association since 2006, a member of Writers’ Union since 2001, has been teaching in A.S.P.U. in the culture’s faculty . Working I Public Television and Press , Published three collections of poems as well as several books on artistic portraits.
